Fashion Futures is a 12-session, 24-hour immersive program exploring how AI, 3D design, and virtual environments are transforming the global fashion landscape. This course equips creative thinkers with the tools, perspectives, and strategic awareness needed to design confidently for the next era of digital fashion.

About the Program

Fashion Futures invites students to step beyond traditional garment design and into a multidimensional world where creativity, technology, and human experience converge. Through guided demonstrations, hands-on studio sessions, and critical discussions, participants explore how AI-driven ideation, 3D garment development, and immersive spatial environments are reshaping fashion systems.

The program emphasizes responsible innovation, cultural sensitivity, and human-centered design values, offering a clear and grounded perspective on where the industry is heading. By the end, students will develop a future-ready concept that positions them confidently within the evolving fashion ecosystem.

Creative Systems Thinking

Learn to view fashion as a narrative ecosystem that extends into digital identity, virtual space, and experiential design.

AI Powered Concept Development

Use generative tools to rapidly explore silhouettes, textures, materials, and moodboards that elevate your creative process.

Immersive Design Foundations

Discover how fashion exists in AR, VR, digital showrooms, and avatar environments, gaining insight into the future of spatial storytelling.

Understand the foundational concepts of digital fashion including narrative, identity, and experiential design.

Translate ideas into digital garments or assets using 3D workflows that reflect next-generation industry practice.

Evaluate the ethical, cultural, and sustainability dimensions of emerging fashion technologies and articulate your strategic position within the evolving landscape.

Short Biography

Roz McNulty is the CEO of the Fashion Innovation Centre (FIC), a leader in merging technology with the apparel industry. With a background in design, small manufacturing, and a touch of the film industry, Roz is passionate about using immersive technologies to drive sustainability and efficiency in fashion. Roz has createdVirtual Showrooms for the apparel industry, including an immersive VR Fashion Museum. FIC’s work spans across web-based and VR/AR headsets, with a recent highlight being the Apple Vision Pro Apparel Review Showroom prototype.

Ria is a multidisciplinary designer and professional educator known for her unmistakable eye for design and her ability to merge fashion, visual communication, and emerging technology into a practice shaped by curiosity and design intelligence. Her work spans global brands, emerging start-ups, and design-led education programs, where she is recognized for elevating creative systems and shaping distinctive visual worlds. Renowned for transforming raw ideas into powerful creative narratives, Ria inspires others to create beyond the obvious, design with intention, and push the boundaries of what is possible.
