Fashion Futures is a 12-session, 24-hour immersive program exploring how AI, 3D design, and virtual environments are transforming the global fashion landscape. This course equips creative thinkers with the tools, perspectives, and strategic awareness needed to design confidently for the next era of digital fashion.

About the Program

Fashion Futures invites students to step beyond traditional garment design and into a multidimensional world where creativity, technology, and human experience converge. Through guided demonstrations, hands-on studio sessions, and critical discussions, participants explore how AI-driven ideation, 3D garment development, and immersive spatial environments are reshaping fashion systems.

The program emphasizes responsible innovation, cultural sensitivity, and human-centered design values, offering a clear and grounded perspective on where the industry is heading. By the end, students will develop a future-ready concept that positions them confidently within the evolving fashion ecosystem.

Creative Systems Thinking

Learn to view fashion as a narrative ecosystem that extends into digital identity, virtual space, and experiential design.

AI Powered Concept Development

Use generative tools to rapidly explore silhouettes, textures, materials, and moodboards that elevate your creative process.

Immersive Design Foundations

Discover how fashion exists in AR, VR, digital showrooms, and avatar environments, gaining insight into the future of spatial storytelling.

By the end of the program, students will:

Learn the core principles of apparel design—from concept to creation

Use generative AI to sketch apparel concepts, textures, and moodboards for product sampling.

Hands-on with 3D apparel and AI-based interactive design programs

Development, demand, and forecasting evolve as clothing moves beyond the physical into dynamic, immersive environments

Course Instructor

Short Biography

Roz McNulty is the CEO of the Fashion Innovation Centre (FIC), a leader in merging technology with the apparel industry. With a background in design, small manufacturing, and a touch of the film industry, Roz is passionate about using immersive technologies to drive sustainability and efficiency in fashion. Roz has createdVirtual Showrooms for the apparel industry, including an immersive VR Fashion Museum. FIC’s work spans across web-based and VR/AR headsets, with a recent highlight being the Apple Vision Pro Apparel Review Showroom prototype.



Short Biography

Ria is a multidisciplinary designer and professional educator with a distinct eye for design, working at the intersection of fashion, visual communication, and emerging technology. Her practice spans global brands, emerging start-ups, and design-led education, where she develops thoughtful creative systems and cohesive visual worlds. Known for translating complex ideas into clear creative narratives, she encourages designers to create beyond the obvious, work with intention, and expand what design can be.
